Disaster Relief Foundation At Better To Be Ready, we are serious about emergency preparedness. Not only do we want to provide you with the highest quality emergency products, we also want to equip you with the skills necessary to help yourself, your family, and your community in a disaster. Our vision is to have trained volunteers in every community who can effectively provide real assistance before, during, and after a disaster. We are partnering with Citizen Corps and helping to enroll volunteers in their local CERT programs. Local CERTs (Community Emergency Response Teams) provide assistance to their designated geographical area. Members must complete the CERT training and will participate in drills in order to train as a team. Many cities already have one or more CERTs organized and are recruiting volunteers. |
Increase awareness of and encourage participation in local CERT programs to develop a ready corps of individuals prepared to help in the event of an emergency Provide scholarships for the courses to interested individuals, on an application basis Provide assistance and supplies to those in disaster stricken areas through our network of certified individuals
